This powerful classical guitar has its roots in Jose Romanillios beautiful sounding instruments. Built in the Spanish style, in a very traditional fashion, this guitar yields a well aged and balanced tone to the most discriminating ear. It is built for nuance and complexity of tone rather than sheer volume; however it does respond with a surprising immediacy. I use primarily hot hide glue for the whole instrument, and build it largely with hand tools. The construction is primarily freeform which yields me the best opportunity to maximize the potential of the instrument.
The guitar is finished with a thin traditionally applied spirit varnish.
