This Corina has comes fully packaged with African Blackwood back and sides and Adirondack Spruce Soundboard. The figured Koa binding hearkens from the stock that was available 20 years ago with its deep red tone. It is wrapped around the soundboard with Abalone purfling. It also features a handcut mosaic rosette which is mirrored in a hand cut 12th fret inlay featuring the same shapes and woods as the rosette. The tone is very full across the board. There is a brilliance to the high end on the whole guitar that is supported very beautifully by fully present mids and deep lows for this sized guitar. It carries open tunings with a lot of power and plenty of acoustic headroom and sensitivity. Just a gorgeous rosewood tone from a beautiful box.

THORELL WYSTERIA 2012

This is the guitar headed for Guitarras357 in Costa Rica, The Wysteria-2012.  It is a very classy take on my popular minimalistic archtop. It features maple binding and the bocote ebony fingerrest which signifies this model. The finish is a honey tan burst, I won’t say any more but it is one of my favorites.   It features my new ebony spruce lam bridge, and 10k tons of tone. This guitar has a warm rich and very crunchy acoustic tone. Plugged in it carrys that tone into a super fat and dark traditional tone. It feels great, you can really dig in and give it all you can and it has plenty of acoustic headroom. Yet a great sensitive sustained chord melody fingerstyle sound. Just a killer archtop.
